Deer Acres Storybook Amusement Park is a family owned park that was started in 1959. This is one of the cleanest family run amusement parks you will ever find, and it has a great reputation. There are over 50 hand-carved, life-size storybook figurines that took my mother over 18 years to complete. They are one of a kind - you won't find anything like them anywhere. No cookie cut-out figurines at Deer Acres. Deer Acres is a park that was built with the family in mind. There are live animals you can hand feed and a deer park you can walk into for pictures and hand feeding. There are rides that both adults and children enjoy. On the Train Ride you will see Tom Sawyer, Hansel & Gretel, Peter Pan, etc. The Safari Ride teaches you a little about Africa. There is also an Antique Car Ride, Merry-Go-Round, and Ferris Wheel. Deer Acres has a large gift-souvenir store featuring Minnetonka Moccasins. Facilities: Deer Acres sits on 15 acres and has almost too many assets to list. You would have to come and see all that we have. There are barns, an A-frame building, and all the storybook settings. We really are just asking a small fraction of what all this is worth. The figurines alone, I don't think you can even buy. You have to see it to believe it. We are looking for that offer that we cannot refuse and will keep the park open.

Competition: There is no competition anywhere in our area. With rides, animals, a very clean picnic/play area, and a great reputation, there is just no place to go like Deer Acres. A new casino is now open just 10 miles north of Deer Acres which has added much new traffic and excitment in the area. New motels, businesses, etc, are also in the works, which will increase the traffic even more.

Growth/Expansion: Deer Acres sits on 15 acres with 30 acres next to the park for expansion. This 30 acres has a price of $100,000. In addition to the park and the additional property, we have a home where my parents lived that is connected to the park property. This home was built in 1965 and is a beautiful, big home. This home has a price of $165,000.

Financing: Financing may be worked out with 1/3 down.

Support/Training: We would be more than happy to help out the new owners. We don't live far from Deer Acres and would be around to ease their transition into a new business.
