Our client provides a variety of processed meat products to national and international markets. All products are manufactured in the United States. Primary strengths include its reputation for on-time delivery of top quality products, ability to provide goods and services to diverse locations, customer service, contacts within key markets as well as market and product knowledge. Sales strategy encompasses managing the growth and development of the current portfolio of client relationships, as well as establishing long-term relationships with potential customers. Business development activities target expanding international markets where US processed meat products are in high demand.

Facilities: 900 sq ft office within the owners' personal residence. Fair market rent for a comparable space is estimated to be $4,000 annually.

Competition: The customer base includes distributors in various domestic and international markets providing products to retailers (92% of sales), as well as hotels, restaurants, and institutions (8%).

Growth/Expansion: A more aggressive marketing campaign coupled with the development of a formal sales force targeting new and existing markets would have a significant impact on revenue growth. The ideal marketing program would be partially funded by US government matching funds available to exporters of US goods. According to management, a one time investment not to exceed $100,000 would be sufficient to facilitate this effort.

Financing: None

Support/Training: The officer is willing to remain through the transition period, and would entertain remaining with new management for a longer period of time on a consultancy basis. Additionally, all key employees will be available to remain with new ownership beyond the sale of the company.
