The business was formed in April of 1985 by its current owners. Initial operations of the business consisted of sales, service and repair of pumps and irrigation systems. In 2000, the they purchased an adjacent machine shop and added the ability to perform more complex off-site repair services. Thus, the Company s operations currently consist of both on and off-site repair of agricultural pumps, electric motors and irrigation equipment as well as sales of agricultural irrigation equipment. Company management indicated that the Company experiences some seasonality in the industry and they are typically busier in the summer months. In addition, Company management indicated that their strongest season of sales is in the fall. Furthermore, Company management indicated that the Company performs a lot of maintenance and repair services during the winter months. Company management indicated that the Company does not have set operating hours but instead the crews work as needed to complete their jobs.

Facilities: Company management indicated that the Company owns the land (approximately two acres) which is used as a storage yard. In addition, Company management indicated that the company is housed in an approximate 1,600 square foot building on approximately one acre of land that is leased by the Company from a third party at a fair market rate. Company management indicated that they desire to continue owning the real property and lease it to the new buyer of the business for approximately $500 per month.

Competition: Company management indicated that, to their knowledge, they are the only company in the area that specializes in pump repair. However, Company management indicated that there is an average amount of competition on the sales and basic service side of the industry.

Growth/Expansion: Company revenue decreased from $877,000 in 2004, to $693,000 in 2005, before rebounding to $706,000 in 2006. Company management indicated that the higher revenue in 2004 was attributable to stronger new equipment sales. Company management indicated that revenue for 2007, is trending to approximate $675,000 to $700,000, but that the Company is experiencing improved profitability in 2007. Accordingly, we believe the Company may experience slow to moderate growth over the next few years.
