This popular bi-weekly outdoor conservation, hunting and fishing newspaper has a large distribution base throughout Idaho. The newspaper is found at over 160 locations in the Treasure Valley with a total of over 300 locations across the state. Over 1,000 copies are picked up at Cabela's every weekend by outdoor enthusiasts who are passionate about sporting, hunting, fishing, and outdoors. Editorial content is found from approximately 70 news services, AP, and news releases. 10,000-15,000 copies are printed each issue; with each issue 20-24 pages in size. The template is in place for an easy turnkey operation. Upside to this publication would involve moving the template to other western states with separate publications, or expanding the current. Currently there are 3,400 subscriptions to the newspaper, with 1,100 prepaid. Subcriptions are $24 per year. Advertising rates are $18 per inch up to $1,600 for full page. Breakeven is approximately $7,345 per issue. The company is not currently at breakeven due to lack of sales staff and poor marketing. An energetic sales staff passionate about hunting, fishing and the outdoors should easily bring this publisher to profitability.
