These two high volume test only facilities are strategically located. The two locations test over 9,000 cars per year. This is based on the following assumptions: 2005- 2007 average # of tests per year -- 9,394 Average fail rate percent of the period -- 17.12%, number of failed vehicles per year -- 1,616, Test revenue average for the period -- $477,173, Additional revenue with repair, assuming $350 average repair bill per failed test -- $565,700 Business is increasing in 2009 due to the fact that cars that were previously exempt (less that 6 yrs old) are now required to be checked. Also, new rules will require testing for diesels.
