Our firm has been retained to find a buyer for Healthplace America, Inc. (the Company ). This healthcare service company designs and implements surgery benefit management solutions for health plans throughout the United States. Overall, the program delivers proven savings of 30% to 50% vs. typical negotiated costs of U.S. providers. The Company offers institutional healthcare buyers access to a specialty network for high cost medical procedures such as coronary artery bypass, orthopedic and spine surgery at highly rated medical centers throughout the United States. It also provides administrative, case management, travel, and logistics services for each member through its proprietary information systems platform resulting in a seamless connection between patients and providers. This platform, the Healthplace Surgery Benefit , is currently available to more than 200,000 health plan members and has been fully implemented into plans covering 30,000 employees. It enables distinguished medical providers to compete to attract patients on the basis of quality measures, convenience and price.
