The business is ran out of our home in Ballard using a small office den for the computer work and our small garage for storing inventory and shipping. The website is hosted through Volusion, which includes a fully integrated shopping cart and merchant account for accepting credit cards. The backend of the site is remarkably easy to use, to make changes and add products to the site. Maintenance is very low, and no technical experience required, just basic computer knowledge. We have had excellent customer feedback and have enjoyed an abundance of return customers. We are also a very green friendly business. Though my wife and I currently share the workload, the site takes about an hour a day to pack and ship items and can be ran after regular business hours and on weekends (which is what we do now).
