This Company is a T-56 / 501 Jet engine parts over hauler and engine module over hauler (Gear Box, Torque Meter and Power Section). The Company was founded in 1987 by a graduate engineer and 35 year veteran Service Engineer for the Allison Engine Company, a U.S. aircraft engine manufacturer which was acquired by Rolls-Royce PLC and became a subsidiary of Rolls-Royce, Corporation in 1995. Over the years a family of engines, based on the T56 basic configuration has been developed, culminating in the T406/Allison AE1107 turbo shaft for the V-22 Osprey, the Allison AE2100 turboprop, used on newer models of the C-130 and the Allison/Rolls-Royce AE 3007 turbofan which propels many commuter aircraft, such as the Embraer ERJ 135 family. During his 35 year tenure with Allison, the owner became an expert on the various engines manufactured by the company including the T-56. He travelled extensively for Allison setting up overhaul and test facilities for the both the U.S. government and numerous foreign governments in countries around the world. In the ten years prior to his founding of this Firm, he was the Overhaul Representative for Allison at Kelly AFB the main overhaul facility used by the Air Force for the maintenance and repair of the T-56 engine.
Facilities: The facilities include 19 acres of land with 6 steel constructed buildings with over 33,000 square feet of shop, office and storage space.
Competition: There is not enough current repair facility capacity in the United States for these types of engines. This is a growth area of opportunity. There are 60 countries in the world that use the C-130 aircraft with the T-56 engine. The 501 is not only used on commercial aircraft, but is also used in industrial applications in gas and oil pump generators and in Co-generation plants.
Growth/Expansion: There are few competitors in the local and regional marketplace but many parts dealers on a worldwide basis. This company has the capacity to do a considerable amount of overhaul volume. It is underutilized. This is a significant advantage as most others in the business in the industry do not have the physical room or overhaul capacity to handle additional volume. This Company has the capacity and physical room for considerable expansion and provides a great opportunity for a company in this industry to expand.
Financing: Seller desires to avoid seller financing.
Support/Training: The seller will provide the buyer all the support necessary to insure a smooth transition of business ownership.
Reason Selling: Retirement
